Who knew that butternut squash and sweet potatoes taste sooooooo good in yogurt form? I guess Ruby Rocket’s found out about that little secret and decided to create 3 delicious veggie&fruit yogurt flavors – all 100% vegan, 100% free of added sugar, 100% free of gluten and just insanely tasty (oh and healthy too!).
I got the chance to try out their portable tubes, which come in 3 fruity flavors: Telescope Tropic with pineapple, sweet potato and butternut squash as well as hints of orange and banana. Beam Me Up Berry with raspberry, strawberry and also sweet potato and finally Stellar Strawberry, with mainly strawberry – banana flavor. While all three of them are truly delightful, my favorite are Telescope Tropic and Beam Me Up Berry.
I decided to create two simple breakfast ideas with them but honestly, these make amazing snacks all throughout the day. I packed some for my bike ride last Sunday, as they literally take no space and they don’t even need to be refrigerated. I’ll also carry them around during work days for a quick and healthy sugar supply in between meetings. They make a perfect pre-workout snack as they don’t contain any dairy but are high in healthy sugars which will provide you with nice energy for what ever you will do. Finally, I think that kids MUST love them – and this is coming from a grown up kid – but they are so colorful and fun! A great way to get your little ones to eat their veggies – without even realizing it 😉 By the way, Ruby Rocket’s is also offering a vast selection of different flavored frozen pops, which are next on my ‘to try list’.
Check out my pictures below with some breakfast ideas: I made a granola bowl with Telescope Tropic and with my homemade peach-white chocolate chip granola and some fresh banana as well as frozen raspberries. The second bowl is made with Beam Me Up Berry and some simple oats and golden raisins. You can have a couple breakfast cookies on the side as well for a bigger breakfast. You can also use the yogurts to make overnight oats by just adding 1/2 cup oats, 3-4 tubes of yogurt and the dried fruit of your choice into a glass. Let them soak over night et voilà!
Thank you Ruby Rocket’s for making veggies look so cute and taste so phenomenal! 🙂
