Ramps are wild onions and they are purely delicious. They are only in season for a short time in Spring each year and you can replace them by scallions although the taste won’t be exactly the same 😉 Serve them with pita chips and they make a great appetizer or snack at any time of the day.
- 2 cups chickpeas
- 2-3 sliced ramps
- 2-3 tbsp tahini (depends on how liquid)
- ½ tsp cumin
- red pepper flakes for topping
- In a blender or food processor, blend all ingredients except pepper flakes until smooth. Add a little bit of water if it's too dry.
- Serve topped with some pepper flakes and some chips + carrots do dip.
